I’ve been working with Carolyn for nearly 20 years, first in my years as Editorial Director at Marshall Cavendish and subsequently as Director of New Product Development at Eaglemoss Partworks.
In that time we have worked together on subjects as diverse as Astrology, Craft, Beauty and Sex; on partwork collections based on major global licenses such as Marvel and The Lord of the Rings films; on complicated build-up projects such as ‘Build a Model Solar System’. In fact Carolyn’s consumer insight work has aided the development of many of our most successful titles.
Carolyn is a first class moderator. She’s nosy, persistent and able to extract an interesting view from even the most unwilling respondent. Her post –research analysis is excellent and she always manages to bring new insights into her written reports. She’s also great fun to work with.
In short I would recommend her to anyone who wants to understand the aspirations and motivations of their target audience.

N&P had previously undertaken some research which at the time didn’t seem to have delivered quite what was required. I contacted Carolyn from IpsoFacto to see if she and Louise Mai could get to the bottom of it as I had worked with Carolyn whilst with another organisation and knew that this problem would be something she would relish and hopefully be able to resolve. The outcome was a very effective research brief, thorough understanding of my requirements from the outset and Carolyn delivered a very insightful set of research analysis which subsequently formed the basis of our proposition which is in the market today.
The general approach to the job, the recruitment profiling and the consumer sessions were both good and really interesting. The analysis based on the profiling of customers was more than we were hoping for, and was a very intelligent way to approach the findings. We have referred to it consistently since the project concluded.
